Community Garden
The Community Garden is the largest garden of its type in the Azle community with 45 above ground beds planted and harvested twice a year. All the produce is sent to the Community Care Center to assist in fighting hunger with their 600+ monthly
clients.
This mission project was started in 2016 when Texas Harris Health Hospital approached our mission team in hopes of finding a sustainable food source for the Azle community. Since its start many in the community have volunteered time,
money, and equipment which allowed for a record harvest of over 1,500lb in 2018.
Others who have partnered with us are Time Rental, Servolution, Hard Rock Products, The Refuge, Forte Middle School, The Merge Church, Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Tarrant Area Food bank and individuals from the community. Thanks
to all who have served in this project.
