ADULTS

At First Methodist Azle, we strive to offer a variety of groups for Adults to grow in their faith. Through the Bible Studies and Small Groups for Adults, it is our hope that we will all increase in our learning to love God and love others. Our goal through adult discipleship is to help you grow in your faith and find ways to serve the world in our community and world.

Adult Sunday Schools Offered at 9:45 AM

Adventurers Class

Meets in the Room 111. The class consists of a wide age range of adults who share a desire to grow in their knowledge and relationship of God and is facilitated by Monica Goth.

Breakfast Club

Meets in the Family Life Center and is an In-depth study of the Bible and the Prophets for all adults; currently studying The Book of Revelation and is facilitated by Santo Forte.

The Renegades

Meet in Room 110. This small group uses different Bible versions and references to research to openly discuss their lesson. This class is facilitated by Sharla Bursey.

Upper Room

Located in Room 113, is an adult class made up of both singles and couples who are involved in the lives of both their church and family. They are currently facilitated by several members of the class.

Our pastor teaches identical, one-hour Bible studies at two times during the week:

Tuesday Mornings, 9:30am in Room 113
Wednesday Evenings, 6:30pm in the HUB

Grief Share

The next session of Grief Share will be scheduled in 2024. Please contact the church office if you are interested.

Grief Share is a 12 - 13 week Christian Grief Support Group consisting of video presentations, a study book, and weekly meetings where all are given the opportunity to share, learn and ask questions.

Men's Bible Studies

Through the week take some time to gather in at one of the Men's Small Groups to share your walk of faith and study the word of God in a smaller setting.

Tuesdays

Breakfast begins at 7:30 am in the FLC

Join facilitators Bill Collins and Glenn Cary for Breakfast and the Bible. After an amazing breakfast we read and discuss a chapter of the Bible and discuss how we can apply the message to our lives today & we finish in time for our group to make it to work! Feel free to drop by a bit early. for coffee and a chat!

Women's Bible Studies

Through the week take some time to gather in at one of the Women's Small Groups to share your walk of faith and study the word of God in a smaller setting.

Tuesday at 10:30 am

Dust to Glory – An Overview of the Bible by R.C. Sproul, a 56-week study on the entire Bible - meeting at Carol Elkins’ home - facilitated by Carol Elkins.

Wednesday 6:15 pm

Our #MomStrong study is facilitated by Meg Arnold and meets in Room 110 during the school year.

Thursday 9:30 am

The Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study is facilitated by Monica Goth and meets in Room 113. They have an alternate schedule with Book Study and Lunch in the summer.

Thursday 6:00 pm

The Thursday Evening Women’s Bible Study meets in Room 113 at 7:00pm and is facilitated by Sallie Hamilton. They have an alternate schedule with Book Study and Lunch in the summer.
