At First UMC, we strive to offer a variety of groups for Adults to grow in their faith. Through the Bible Studies and Small Groups for Adults, it is our hope that we will all increase in our learning to love God and love others. Our goal through adult discipleship is to help you grow in your faith and find ways to serve the world in our community and world.
Adult Sunday Schools Offered at 9:45 AM
Meets in the Conference Room. The class consists of a wide age range of adults who share a desire to grow in their knowledge and relationship of God and is facilitated by Ricki Gooch.
Meets in The Parlor and is a group of senior men and women who share a love of God, each other, and this church. The class is facilitated by Sue Wall.
Meets in the Family Life Center and is an In-depth study of the Bible and the Prophets for all adults; currently studying The Book of Genesis and is facilitated by Santo Forte.
Meets in room 110 and offers an in-depth study of the Bible for adults. The class is facilitated by Jon Searfoss.
Meet in the Upper Atrium. This small group uses different Bible versions and references to research to openly discuss their lesson. This class is facilitated by Sharla Bursey.
Located in Room 113, is an adult class made up of both singles and couples who are involved in the lives of both their church and family. They are currently facilitated by several members of the class.

Dr. Reed teaches a class on a variety of topic on Wednesday evening from 6:15-7:15 p.m. in room 113. You do not need to register for any of the classes and everyone, men and women, are welcome to attend. Those who need
to attend choir practice can leave when needed.

Grief Share is a 12 to 13 week Christian Grief Support Group consisting of video presentations, a study book, and weekly meetings where all are given the opportunity to share, learn and ask questions.

Men's Bible Studies
Through the week take some time to gather in at one of the Men's Small Groups to share your walk of faith and study the word of God in a smaller setting.
6:15 am in the FUMC Kitchen
Join facilitator Al Harris for Breakfast and the Bible. After an amazing breakfast we read and discuss a chapter of the Bible and discuss how we can apply the message to our lives today & we finish in time for our group to make it to work! Feel free to drop by at 5:00 a.m. for coffee and a chat!
