At First UMC we are committed to not only supporting missions financially, but being present to those in need and showing the love of Christ through lending a hand to those in need. We believe that there is a way for people of all ages to serve, as there isn't an age requirement to share the love of Christ.

Go Forth is a mission started by the Women's Ministry at First UMC to reach out to those around us, at a time in their life when they desperately need to know that someone cares. Packets are intended to not only provide help with tangible needs but to also reach those in spiritual need as well and contain small items of food, personal hygiene items and Christian books. We encourage you take several packets as needed and pass them out when you see somebody in need. A simple act of kindness can change a persons life!
Good News is a mission that was founded in 1997 to help the most vulnerable in our community to remain in their own homes as long as possible by providing a wide array of services like friendly visits, shopping assistance, household chores, yard work and minor household repairs just to name a few.
These are just a few of the missions that we are involved in at First UMC and we are continually adding to our list of missions we support. We invite you to join our Mission Team and help make a significant difference in the community around us.
